Hughes Energy Systems is one of the few indigenous private companies that wholly focuses on energy efficiency solutions for businesses throughout Ireland.
Set up in 2006 and based near Saintfield in County Down, the company's staff have more than 60 years' highly relevant, combined experience in energy-related technologies and business management best practice.

Who's who
David Hughes
Engineering Director
David has been working with mechanical, electronics and energy technologies for the past 40 years. He is a Chartered Engineer, a registered European Engineer and is a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Energy Institute and the Institute of Refrigeration.
Anne Hughes
Operations Director
Anne has worked for more than 13 years at senior management level in a busy, fast-moving, commercial environment and has in-depth experience of financial and human-resource management.
Alan Hughes
Installations Manager
Alan is a qualified electrician with more
than 12 years’ experience of industrial and commercial electrical installation and maintenance work.
Gareth Reid
Energy Efficiency Engineer
Gareth has an Hons degree in Electronic Systems in 2002 and has gained technical experience as part of the maintenance team in the packaging industry before joining Hughes Energy Systems in 2009.
Ivan McKeown
Sales & Business Development Manager
Ivan has an Hons degree in Geology and worked for the oil industry for 6 years before moving into a sales role. He has 10 years experience in sales and business development in the manufacturing sector before joining Hughes Energy Systems in 2007.
Alice Tennant
Marketing Manager
Alice has an Hons degree in Fashion Design and has experience of B2B and B2C marketing. She understands the importance of creative thinking when operating in a competitive marketplace.
